In our HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS classes and workshops we discuss the necessity of first having a healthy relationship with ourselves and get to understand the importance of self-esteem and self-acceptance. The truth is that once we’re comfortable with ourselves we’ll find that we’re comfortable with the world and everything in it. And, naturally, that means that the world is comfortable with us and responds accordingly.
Hand-in-hand with self-acceptance is our relationship with our body. Through the Law of Life, or the Law of Cause and Effect, we understand that our bodies and affairs are the result of our beliefs. In other words, the state of our physical body is the result of what we both consciously and subconsciously believe about ourselves.
The word ‘subconsciously’ is emphasised because none of us deliberately, or consciously, attracts dis-ease – that’s deliberately split in two to stress that we’re talking about a body that’s not at ease.
It all comes down to what’s going on inside of us. There’s a very real and obvious link between the mind and the body.
