CHOOSE HEALTH

In our HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS classes and workshops we discuss the necessity of first having a healthy relationship with ourselves and get to understand the importance of self-esteem and self-acceptance. The truth is that once we’re comfortable with ourselves we’ll find that we’re comfortable with the world and everything in it. And, naturally, that means that the world is comfortable with us and responds accordingly.

Hand-in-hand with self-acceptance is our relationship with our body. Through the Law of Life, or the Law of Cause and Effect, we understand that our bodies and affairs are the result of our beliefs. In other words, the state of our physical body is the result of what we both consciously and subconsciously believe about ourselves.

The word ‘subconsciously’ is emphasised because none of us deliberately, or consciously, attracts dis-ease – that’s deliberately split in two to stress that we’re talking about a body that’s not at ease.

It all comes down to what’s going on inside of us. There’s a very real and obvious link between the mind and the body.

CHOOSE PROSPERITY

Many people have concerns about money. In fact, most people who turn to financial freedom courses do so because their bank accounts are empty or they’re living from pay cheque to pay cheque with very little left over with which to enjoy life.

In my books, classes and workshops I continually stress that it’s our consciousness which manifests. It follows, therefore, that to be financially secure we need to have a consciousness of ‘having’ — in other words, a prosperity consciousness.

We can talk all we wish about the desire to be prosperous, the needs we have and the bills to be paid. But, the one thing that we all want to know is, “How do I become prosperous?”, or “How do I get more prosperity?” We need first to understand that prosperity is not something we get; it’s something we have inside. It’s a state of mind, an attitude. It’s that state of consciousness that unfolds from within. Poverty, the opposite of prosperity, is also a state of mind. It’s a belief in lack and limitation.

The startling fact is that we’re already as prosperous as we can ever be. What we need to do is to learn how to experience the forms that prosperity takes, one of which is money.

CHOOSE LOVE

Relationships are important because we’re always living in one with someone or something and, when we consider how broad the concept of ‘relationships’ is, we see that we’re:

➣ either getting into or out of one,

➣ wanting to know what to do if things go wrong,

➣ wondering how to put up with people we can’t stand, and

➣ learning how to get on with people in general.

Relationships provide us with a path of healing, love, fulfilment and nurturing. So where do we start? There is only one starting point and that is with the most important relationship we’ll ever have in our lives — the relationship we have with ourselves. What we think about ourselves has a bearing on our relationships with everyone and everything else. For this reason it’s important that we understand that we, and we alone, are responsible for our own emotional and mental states and that no one else can offend, irritate or anger us unless we choose to participate in their dramas. It’s the crucial relationship that shapes our values, beliefs and everything that happens to us so obviously we need to get it right because if we don’t, then through the Law of Life, we’ll be experiencing problems in the outer world.

CHOOSE SUCCESS

One of our most important relationships with other people can be found in the workplace.

We all need to work; it’s the main way in which we express ourselves. Unfortunately, many people say or think that they don’t know what they can do best but. In reality, we all have skills and a certain ‘know-how’ about something that would benefit others. Uncovering what it is that we have to give may mean reliving our dreams, looking again at the things we yearned to do when younger but have long since abandoned, and asking, “What’s stopping me?”

In dealing with the issue of work we need to focus on matters such as how to use our talents and abilities effectively. This includes:

➣  establishing or finding the right job,
➣  getting on with people on the workplace, and
➣  knowing what to do if things go wrong.

Are you interested in finding the right position or business and being successful and fulfilled in it? Do you wish to improve your relationship with co-workers, employers and employees and know what to do when things appear to go wrong?
